When we heard that two of Melbourne’s most famous pugs, Jasper and Jasmine were hosting the doggy wedding of the year to raise money for Pug Rescue & Adoption Vic, we knew we had to be first to cover it.
Jasmine and Jasper Rowe barked their vows at St Kilda’s West Beach Bathers Pavilion alongside their collar-full bridal party, 60 pugs and hundreds of accompanying humans.
This puppy-love affair began when the happy couple spent their afternoon play-dates licking each other’s ears and became official when Jasper pupped the question to Jasmine asking her to be his “snorting partner for life.”
The ceremony was a pup-ular success with bridesmaid, Fancy Nancy was unleashed on the dance-floor in a dog-eat-dog dance off with second bridesmaid Pixie.
Jasmine was pugged-up in a custom Craig Braybrook gown and when she walked down the aisle, Jasper could be heard howling and was spotted with a tear or two.
This ceremony was part of a gala charity fundraiser that raised funds for Pug Rescue & Adoption Vic Inc.
